Married with two daughters and six grandchildren, I have lived in Goostrey since 1971. I am a
founder member of Goostrey School PTA and served on the Residents Committee. I took early retirement from the
banking industry in 1994.
I was elected to the Parish Council in 1996 and have been Chairman of each of the Committees since that time. I was Chairman of the Parish Council in the year 1999/2000 and was elected as the current Chairman last May. I was also Chairman of the Steering Committee which produced the Village Plan and have been involved with the current speedwatch exercise. |

David Craggs

My name is David Craggs aged 52, I have been married to Marie for 29 years, Marie supervises the after school club at the
local school, and we have a son of 23 studying architecture at Sheffield University.
We have lived in Goostrey for over four years. I am the principal partner of an Interior and Architectural Design Practice, which was established in 1987. My projects range from individual new build houses to BT shops nationally. I have been Chairman of the Chartered Society of Designers North West Region, and on the Board of Advisors for the Business Link Design Councillors. I chair the Parish Planning sub-committee, and am a member of the Village Hall Management Committee. |

I am 59 years of age, married with 2 daughters who both attended the local primary school. I have lived in Goostrey for 25 years. I have been a member of the Parish Council for 13 years having served as both Vice Chairman & Chairman. My particular interests on the Parish Council are: maintaining speed limits in the village, planning issues and the proposed new Youth Centre. I am currently a member of the Rose Day Committee and was one of the founder members of GRASS (Goostrey Recreation & Sports Society) who were instrumental in developing the Boothbed Lane Playing Field facility. I play tennis, golf and enjoy listening to music. |

I have lived in Goostrey for 29 years and am married with a family of two sons and a daughter and 3 grandchildren. I am now
retired but I have been a teacher of children and adults with special needs, and I also worked for the Probation Service
for 16 years. I am a member of several village organisations and am committed to keeping Goostrey the safe pleasant and lively place that it is. I support the project to improve youth facilities also the measures to reduce the speed of traffic. |

I have lived in Goostrey for 59 years and I have been involved in charity work and have been a poppy seller for the past 52 years. I have seen many changes. |

Malcolm Nicholls

I am 49 years old and moved to Goostrey in 2005 to join my partner, who has lived here for 10 years. I have a 16
year old daughter. I have degrees in Economics from Cambridge University & Industrial Relations from Warwick University. I work as a consultant in the leisure industry. I am Chair of the Parish Council Finance Committee. My particular interests in terms of Council work are transport, the environment and planning; I believe strongly in the need to maintain and improve the quality of life for village residents. |

I am married with two young children. I have lived in central Goostrey for ten years. My employment background is as a manager within the chemical industry. I have been a parish councillor since May 2006 and currently serve on the Planning and Amenities Committees. My main concerns are traffic calming, facilities for the village's young people and maintenance of the pleasant rural environment within Goostrey. |

Mary Robertson |
I have lived in Goostrey since March 1990, initially in Bank View, but since October 1991 on Main Road. I work full time for Staffordshire Police and have over 33 years continuous service. Since 1992 I have delivered Avon in the village and this has enabled me to meet numerous fellow villagers. My husband and I enjoy village life. Amongst my interest are travel, theatre, pets, music and keeping fit. |

Anne Sturman

I am married with three teenage children and have lived in the village for 12 years. I am an experienced volunteer adviser with the Citizen's Advice Bureau and also enjoy my work as a conservation volunteer with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. It is important that our village has an active Parish Council to ensure that the views of the community are heard and that the sense of community experienced in Goostrey thrives. |
