Goostrey Village Hall and Playing Fields Foundation is a charitable body which owns and manages the village's sports facility on Boothbed Lane. Their name belies an active and forward looking organisation which has developed the current facilities and works to maintain high facility standards both now and into the future.

The people of Goostrey own one of the few community owned and funded Sports Fields in the country. After many years of fund raising, land on Boothbed Lane was finally purchased and now boasts a crown bowling green, three all-weather tennis courts which also double for multi-sports, a football pitch and a pavilion.

In addition to the large volume of informal and social games played, teams compete successfully in local leagues at various levels and age groups. Membership is open to anyone who lives in or close to the village with a membership fee kept at a low level to encourage all to join.
